   Paris’ Fashion Museum, housed in the 19th-century Palais Galliera, warehouses some 100,000 outfits and accessories – from canes and umbrellas to fans and gloves – from the 18th century to the present day. The sumptuous Italianate palace and gardens dating from the mid-19th century are worth a visit in themselves. The museum has been undergoing renovations since 2009, but should be open by the time you read this.
