Lonely Planet review for Blue Elephant
This is Paris’ most famous upmarket Thai restaurant and part of an international chain, with a dozen branches in cities round the world from Brussels to Beirut. Although it has become a little too successful for its own good (it also sells its own branded knick-knacks and gift items), the indoor tropical rainforest and well-prepared spicy dishes (look for the one, two or three elephant symbols on the menu) are still worth the inflated prices. Sunday buffet (noon to 3pm) is good value at €39.

Spend a meal in Thailand, while in Paris
melh81 recommends this,
The Blue Elephant is on the little buzzing street Rue de la Roquette of Bastille. I spent some time living and working in Paris and found it difficult to find a good Thai restaurant to match the quality of Blue Elephant.
From the moment you enter the restaurant you leave behind the busy French streets of Paris and enter the beautiful Thai décor of gardens and a stream with a bamboo bridge in the centre of the restaurant. The extensive menu offers a flavour and taste for everyone to enjoy a Thai experience and pleasant meal.
The curries are delicous and the paris branch keeps up the fantastic standard and quality of Thai food made by the Blue Elephant chain.
The service was very friendly, and the atmosphere was peaceful, and romantic.Good for: Romance, atmosphere, food, Groups, service
