Fogón St-Julien
Enter Espãna : Fogón St-Julien the best Spanish restaurant in Paris, many say. Indeed, its menu tours Spain with a feast of a menu tapas (€45) but goes well beyond tapas, too, with excellent paellas (vegetable, rabbit, chicken, seafood; €18) and other tasty mains like arroz negro rice blackened with squid ink & laced with shrimps & cuttlefish).

Agua Limón
If those cold and cranky Parisians have got you down, head to this lemon-coloured tapas place for a shot of Mediterranean sunlight. The menu includes standards such asCatalan-style octopus, goat cheese in olive oil and, of course, patatas bravas. There’s a decent selection of Spanish wines and sangria.

La Paella
This homely place, which almost feels like a buzzy café (especially on weekend nights), specialises in Spain’s most famous culinary export – though it does a mean zarzuela de pescado (Spanish ‘bouillabaisse’; €27) as well. The paella is cooked to order so count on at least a 30-minute wait and don’t overdo the tapas.

Bellota Bellota
Huge Iberian hams hang in the window and piggy legs dangle from the ceiling of this fabulously tiled Spanish-style bar/cafe. It’s a perfect spot for lunch before or after the Musée d’Orsay, an aperitif at the end of the day or to pick up caviar, smoked salmon and cold meats to take away.
