Lonely Planet review for Chez Louisette

Here since 1967, this little bistro is a highlight of any visit to Paris’ largest flea market, Marché aux Puces de St-Ouen. Market-goers crowd around little tables to eat lunch (mains €15 to €20) and hear old-time chanteuses and chanteurs (they change regularly) belt out numbers by Piaf and other classic French singers, accompanied by accordion music; you might even get to see an inspired diner jump up to dance la guingette (the jig) in the aisles.

shocking customer service but fab singing,

    emmz3369 does not recommend this,

we arrived after visting the charming flea market (fab) We didnt want to eat and when the waitress discovered this she angrily told us to go and stand at the bar...which shocked we did, an argument then insued between the bar man and the waitress and we ordered our drinks (she thought we could hear/understand what she was saying!!!) we got our drinks and she then decided we could sit!!!! 5 minutes later she came and demanded payment, she brought us the change and demanded a tip saying tip tip tip!!! We gave her her tip and she walked away smiling, we ordered some more drinks and paid her, she then kept the change!! Which amounted to 5 euro's!!! I must say she ruined the experience for us, the singing was great and the performers fab, my advise is avoid the tables closest the bar as the waitress from hell works them, a large older lady who clearly wasnt happy in her role. no little tables as per the description long lines of tables pulled together, not intimate and after our experience this place is not recommended, all i can say its clearly changed. NOT recommended at all.
