Lonely Planet review for Café Marly

This classic venue facing the Louvre’s inner courtyard serves contemporary French fare throughout the day under the palace colonnades. Views of the glass pyramid are priceless and depending on how au courant (familiar) you are with French starlets and people who appear in Match, you should get an eyeful.

Paris, I love your smell on a Sunday morning

    gobled recommends this,

When I am in Paris, it feels like being home. I absolutely love Paris, its cramped terraces with the tiny tables and wobbly seats, the taxi drivers who make extravagant gestures at you with their right hand while keeping the left hand on the horn. Paris, I adore your architecture, wide tree enclosed boulevards and narrow back passages with scooters speeding through. I adore your history, the present and your future.

Paris has my beat, our hearts beat with the same rhythm and with the regularity of the underground metro. In the morning standing at a bar counter, having a croissant and some coffee just to get us going. Then the hours are spent only to fill up time before you can go and have a huge lunch. Warm, homely meals are served and accompanied by a glass of wine. Paris is all about passion and taste. That goes for the fashion as well as the food and for the people. Some old fashioned waiters may talk in sentences shorter than a headstrong baby but this adds to the city's charm.
