La Rotonde information
Standing proud by the Bassin de la Villette, this striking 18th-century pavilion has gone from customs station to police barracks to salt warehouse to elegant brasserie. The light-filled circular atrium is the show stealer, but it's the Sunday brunch (€23) and the huge summer terrace of the casual cafe-bar Le Refuge that really draw the crowds.
La Refuge is open from 6pm to midnight Wednesday and Thursday, 6pm to 2am Friday and Saturday).
