Pozzetto

Straight from Torino, home of some of the best historical cafes in Italy, Pozzetto's loyalty to Italian culinary tradition is somewhat upsetting in a country, such as France, where foreign cuisines are mistreated by local entrepeneurs.
Their espresso is heavenly measured, combined with milk foam and Pozzetto's gianduja cream in the trendies "marochino" if you want to indulge into something special, otherwise rely on their cappuccino, one size fits all.

Just forget those fat-conscious and insipid sherbets - real Italian gelato has arrived in the City of Lights.
Rich and full-bodied, these ice-creams are made with milk rather than water (thus they taste more like cream than ice), along with top-notch ingredients imported from regions in Italy. pistachios from Sicily, hazelnuts from Piemonte, and so on. 
Available flavors are generally limited to a few but excellent classics, including panna cotta and the mythical zabaione (egg cream with a hint of marsala liquor).
It's still too early to decide if this marks the end of the Berthillon era, but the battle is on and you should definitely try this "real gelato experience" served with a smile.
Tip: a second small branch caters hungry night-timers in Rue de Lappe, near Bastille.
