Lonely Planet review for Le Loir Dans la Théière
Its cutesy name (‘Dormouse in the Teapot’) notwithstanding, this is a wonderful old space filled with retro toys, comfy couches and scenes of Through the Looking Glass on the walls. It serves up to a dozen different types of tea, excellent savoury tarts and sandwiches (€8.50 to €12), desserts like apple crumble (€6.50), and brunch (€19.50) at the weekend.

Our Favorite Cafe in Paris
parisiankitty recommends this,
Although our French was minimal the staff was very helpful. My husband had his best cup of coffee here. They asked him if he wanted the petite size or the American size and he ordered the petite cafe (it may have been an espresso--whatever it was--it was delicious). We both had the purple artichoke & parmesan omelettes which were to die for, and on our 2nd visit I tried the aubergine (eggplant) tart (i think) and the pomme (apple) tart--so delicious! There's an adorable mural on the wall featuring their version of the dormouse in the teapot and the Mad Hatter. The water was served in a beautiful glass carafe. It's located in a fun shopping area--the Marais District.
