Cinemas showing films set in Paris are the centrepiece of the city’s film archive, the Forum des Images. Created in 1988 to establish ‘an audiovisual memory bank of Paris’, and recently renovated in dramatic shades of pink, grey and black, the five-screen centre has a new library and research centre with newsreels, documentaries and advertising.
