Lonely Planet review for Le Piano Vache

Down the hill from the Panthéon, this bar is covered in old posters above old couches and is drenched in 1970s and ‘80s rock ambience. Effortlessly underground and a real student fave, bands and DJs play mainly rock, plus some goth, reggae and pop.

HELLO!! Who wrote this? I'm Madrid from that IES program!

    Madridbk recommends this,

I'm heading back to Paris and was looking up the old haunts and came across this for Piano Vache when I was looking up the Daguerre address for IES. I lost touch with the amazing group we had together that Spring, and would LOVE to reconnect. I hope whoever wrote this gets this message. : )

This one's been turnin' it up for years

    colonelplink recommends this,

Even those of us who go as far back as the Institute of European Studies on Rue Daguerre in the Spring of '92 know the Piano Vache well, and loved it while we were there. This was the place of so many romantic intrigues for young people smitten with the thrill of international travel and a previously unmatched feeling of freedom. Be sure to ask for lots of Dire Straits and Police; they weren't current even then but are timeless all the same. Memories of Sarahs, a handfull of Jennifers, and Madrid are all somehow bound up in this grand little place.
