Getting around
There is no public transport into town from the airport; a taxi costs about €25.
Rouen’s local bus network and its flagship metro line are operated by TCAR (Espace Métrobus; 02 35 52 52 00; 9 rue Jeanne d’Arc). The metro runs from 5am (6am Sunday) to 11.30pm and is useful for getting from the train station to the centre of town. A ticket valid for an hour costs €1.30 a day pass is €3.70 and a 10-ticket carnet costs €10.80.
For taxis, Radio Taxi (02 35 88 50 50) operates 24 hour a day.
Rouen Cycles (02 35 71 34 30; 45 rue St-Éloi) rents out mountain bikes for €12 per day.
For car rental, try ADA (02 35 72 25 88; 34 av Jean Rondeaux). Avis (02 35 88 60 94) and Hertz (02 35 70 70 71) are both near the Gare Rouen-Rive Droite train station.
