Mont St-Michel Sights

  1. Abbaye du Mont St-Michel

The Mont's major attraction is the stunning Abbaye du Mont St-Michel, which sits at the very top of the island at the top of the Grande Rue and a steep stairway. From Monday to Saturday between mid-May and September, there are illuminated night-time visits of Mont St-Michel complete with music from to midnight.

  2. Église Notre Dame De Pontorsont

Though no match for its dramatic sister to the north, the 12th-century Église Notre Dame De Pontorsont (Église Notre Dame De Pontorsont) is a good example of the Norman Romanesque style of architecture. To the left of the altar is a 15th-century relief of Christ's Passion, which was mutilated during the Religious Wars and again during the Revolution.
