The Imperial Butterfly House was lots of fun

I hadn,t read anything about the butterfly house and just arrived by accident.I was standing by the opera building and looked at my map.I wanted to walk over to the Hofburg,the royal palace and decided to take a short cut through the Burggarten.What a surprise,there was a huge and fantastic Jugendstil greenhouse there,just about the greatest greenhouse I,ve ever seen.Maybe it,s called a palmhouse or a conservatory or something,anyway it was amazing.One part of it advertised the butterfly house so I decided to have a look in.It really was a butterfly house with loads of butterflies whizzing around.It was quite hot and clammy but so is the rainforest,I took my jacket off anyway. I spent about 40 minutes inside and I,ve never seen anything like it in the centre of a city before.There were spiral staircases inside trees and a bridge up in the air.Some of the butterflies were huge.I,ll go again next time I am in Vienna.I wasn,t butterfly crazy before I got there but I,m quite butterfly crazy now.
