The Royal is always full and always buzzing, and for good reason. This is the young, cool, understanding and constantly reliable aunt on the hotel scene who never lets you down.
In the thick of the action, a mere skip away from place de la Comédie with its vibrant cafe life, theatre and nearby shops, the Royal has a lot to offer. Contrary to outward appearances, few of the Royal's 46 rooms look out on the palm trees and blue trams of busy rue Maguelone. Most face inwards to enjoy the peace and quiet of an interior courtyard filled with one magnificent age-old palm and a well. Floral bedspreads and soft hues of summery blue create an appropriately Auntie feel, while the larger superior rooms on the ground floor are fantastic for families. Staff help navigate guests around town, kicking off with the plump 'welcome pack' in English that sits on reception.
