Aquarium de la Poudrière
Within the town's former gunpowder magazine, the Aquarium de la Poudrière has about 500 fish and plenty of information (in French) on the flora and fauna of the gulf. See if you can spot the cannily camouflaged octopus.

Genoese Tower
Standing guard over the entrance to the harbour, the Genoese Tower was built in 1549, at a time when most of the other 85 towers around the Corsican coast were being constructed. Restored in 1993, it has a wealth of interesting information (in French and English) about their financing, construction and functioning - and about the tough existence of the tower watchman. You reach the tower via a series of steps starting next to La Tour Génoise restaurant.
