I am staying in avignon and I am looking for the best way to go to sault and gordes. Is it possible to cycle to sault? Another option is to take the public transport to sault and then cycle on the way back. But I am not sure if I can take a bike on buses in france. Any advice? If there is time i would like to visit roussillon and l'isle sur la sorgue. Are all these places hard to get to on bike? I have experience mountain biking.
Can someone please clear up some confusion I have. I want to purchase skip the line tickets to go up the Eiffel Tower. ( I am aware of the security line up you have to do). If I purchase tickets direct through the Eiffel Tower website does this mean we don't have to line up apart from the security check? I'm just confused because I was looking at the Viator website which all say skip the line but the prices on there are so high compared to just buying a ticket on the Eiffel Tower website? What…
Hello. Thanks for your info always.
How do you think the best way to Monaco from Nice with a child(two year daughter)?
We will arrive at 9am at Nice airport, and then want to visit Monaco as a day trip.
After that, we have to return to Nice to check in an apartment.
We have a baby buggy.
Thanks in advance.
I am just starting to plan our first holiday abroad with my husband and toddler who will be 15 months when we travel. Looking to go end of August for 2 weeks (unfortunately restricted on dates due to work).
I'm looking for ideas on locations in either France or Spain with sandy beaches suitable for young children (not too busy/ calm shallows good for paddling) I'm a bit nervous about travelling too far afield hence picking France/Spain where I can speak a little of the languages and not too far…
I'm planning to spend a week on the Cote d'Azur in June. I have a few logistical questions and am looking for advice about things to do.
First, we'll be traveling from Paris to France. I was planning on taking the train, but I was wondering if that's the best option. Does anyone recommend flying instead?
Secondly, I've been doing some research on Nice and the Cote d'Azur so I know a few things I want to do, but am looking for recommendations for great things to see, eat and do. We will not…
I'm going to Paris for 2 weeks in August and planning to do a 3 day trip to Normandy. My husband loves history and wants to see the D-Day beaches. Would you recommend doing a guided tour or do you think that a rental car and a guide book will be good as well? If you do recommend going on a tour, is there a company you can recommend?
We are a family traveling from Barcelona to Brussels with three little kids and a bunch of luggage. What we didn't realize until recently is that our connection in Paris is from a different train station. Our train from Barcelona arrives to Gare de Lyon and then we have about 50 minutes to get a train leaving from Gare de Nord. I see that these stations are not that far and there is a metro service (RER) between them. But does anyone have better suggestions? We are not sure if we could do…
Any thoughts on the best transport option from Grange Blanche to Quai Clemenceau at the Île Barbe bridge? I will have to make a daily round trip so, taxi or uber is too expensive.
I will be in Fontainebleau for the Django Reinhardt festival next week but would also like to do some sightseeing in the mornings. I am sure I will spend at least a couple mornings in the Fontainebleau forest but are there other interesting places to go within a 45 minute drive (I will have a car)?
Also, anyone else going to the festival?
