Car vs Train

We will be in France and wanted to see if it's worth driving from Paris to Nice or taking the train. We wanted to take advantage of seeing other attractions on the way. What would you recommend?

Paris Pass worth the money?

Hello all,

I'm planning a trip to Paris for 4 days in starting of June.
We are a family of 4 and are going to stay in a Airbnb apartment. We are planning to take a Paris City Pass for 4 days and cover maximum attractions in Paris. Also we are planning a trip to the Palace of Versailles one day.

https://www.parispass.com/paris-pass-prices.php

The pass is great for free transport, skip the lines and multiple attractions covered under it.
Is the 4 day pass worth the cost?
If no, how would you…

Nizza or Nice Brasseries or Restaurants

Hi there,
I am travelling to Nice starting 21st April to 28th April on business and leisure as well.
Does anybody know good french restaurants-small brasseries with excellent food? Not too touristic or expensive?
Just for local people?

Photographic equipment shop

Hi,

I'm flying from Ho Chi Minh City to Paris on the 2. of April. Does anyone know of a major camera shop where it might be possible to buy ND-filters (Neutral Density filters) in either Paris or HCMC? I doubt that I can find it in HCMC but you never know. I'm specifically looking for a filter called "Hoya Pro ND1000 52mm". Alternatively, I could order it from Amazon.co.uk to the place I'll be staying in Paris.

Thanks in advance.

5 days in Languedoc - where to go when travelling by train? (Beziers/Carcassone)

Hi,

Thanks in advance to anyone who replies on here :)

I am travelling to Beziers this weekend to spend 5 days in Languedoc-Rousillon. I am visiting with a friend - we're both late twenties. We have booked flights in to Beziers and out of Carcassone (partly as these were the cheapest flights available over Easter rather than a burning desire to see either place specifically). We have 5 days, and we will not be hiring a car, where would you recommend we spend our time?

Things we are…

Airline

Hi, an expérience , take care to the airline you use in Europe and particularly
EasyJet ( the worst ) , they have a real overbooking politic and you can be sure also to be often delayed , don't use it if you have a connecting flight.
Good Trip to everyone

Corsica GR20

Hi,

I am thinking of hiking the GR20 in late May... based on weather this year in Corsica, is this a good idea or not. I definitely don't want to carry all my food... so not sure that the refugios are staffed with food either??

Please let me know if you have thoughts,
Andrea

Hiking at parc d'ecrins & TDF questions

I'm going to the alps this summer and have a few questions.

I'm planning to hike around in parc d'ecrins. Is it necessary to book gites in advance and if so, roughly how long in advance?

I'll be around to watch the TDF on alpe d'Huez. All the hotels are completely full. So I'm considering camping wild on the mountain. Are there basic facilities (i.e toilet) in place?

Is it feasible to travel from Grenoble on the day of the race? (obviously early in the morning).

Any general tips on TDF is…
