Land
Bus
The best way to get to Troyes (€20.45, 1¾ to 2¼ hours, three or four daily on weekdays, two on Saturday, one on Sunday except during university breaks, none on holidays) is to take a bus operated by TransChampagne (STDM; 03 26 65 17 07; www.stdmarne.fr in French). The stop is next to the train station; hours are posted.

Train
Direct services link Reims with Épernay (€5.50, 24 to 46 minutes, 23 daily weekdays, 14 daily weekends), Laon (€8.10, 45 minutes, eight daily Monday to Friday, six on Saturday, two on Sunday) and Paris’ Gare de l’Est (€21.60, 1¾ hours, 10 to 15 daily).
In the city centre, information and tickets are available at the Boutique SNCF (1 cours JB Langlet; 9.30am-7pm Mon-Fri, to 6pm Sat).
The trip from Reims’ newly renovated train station to Paris will take just 45 minutes once the long-awaited TGV Est Européen line starts running in June 2007.
