Paris in a day

Bonjour! My girlfriend and I recently spent a day in Paris and wanted to share a short video with those who are wondering if it's possible (or if there's any point) to see the city in only 1 day. We camped the previous night at "Le Village Parisien near Meaux, drove in to the city, and found that we had ample time to see many of the sights and get an overview of what Paris has to offer. Would it have been nice to spend more time there? Definitely. But if you only have 1 day, don't be afraid -…

Road trip from Florence to Barcelona to include coastal France...?

My husband and I are weighing whether or not we should road-trip from Florence to Barcelona this May. Our other option is to fly. We're wondering if the drive along the southern coast of France is worth it... total 11-hour drive split up over 4 days or so. We are not super-sight-seers, just looking to relax, eat a lot of cheese, drink a lot of wine & champagne, and see some beautiful and interesting things along the way. Can anyone sell us on this idea?

Corsican honeymoon help (and Nice!)

Hi all,

I'd really appreciate a little advice. My fiancé and I are marrying in France in September and wanted to stay nearby for our honeymoon so chose Corsica. Sadly I now don't think we've left long enough to explore.

We fly from Bordeaux very early morning to Ajaccio on a Tuesday and then fly out of Ajaccio to Nice on Sunday evening (7.30pm). I'm guessing with the short timeline we should stick south? Any suggestions of where to go, stay and what to do? We love eating, exploring and I guess…

best hotel and best restaurant in Paris

I have to share this. I am French (Parisian) but lives in Finland.
Last week end, I spent 4 night in Paris Hotel Lorette Opera (http://www.astotel.com/uk/hotel/11-lorette-opera/overview/) and it was by far the best hotel experience I have had. 85 eur including amazing breakfast, friendly staff (especially traveling with a 6 month old child), perfect location -> 100% great experience.
oh, and room 505 has a view on Eiffel tower <3
Them I went to the BEEEEST BEST restaurant in Paris. Les…

Montpellier to Laroque des Albères

Hello all!
In March I'm travelling from the UK to Laroque des Albères for a work stay on an organic farm. My research so far has lead me to believe it may be better (and cheaper) to Eurostar from London to Montpellier.
From that point onwards I am a little lost as my destination is quite remote, and as I am travelling alone I shan't be hiring a car. I have read there are train possibilities to nearby town of Argelès-sur-Mer and perhaps I could taxi from there.
Does anybody have any advice on…

Corsica-GR20

Hello!

I am going to Corsica this summer and would like to walk one leg of the GR20. I'm going with a male friend who is used to hiking but i'm not so fit. I normally hike a little slower than the average time given but am stubborn and never give up!
We don't have time to do more than one day really. I can't seem to find any one day sections online so I'm asking for help here! We have a car so can get around easily. Does anyone know if there is a trail we could walk for the day that is a round…

Getting to grenoble airport from Lyon city

Hi All!

I booked a flight out of grenoble airport (GNB) to fly to dublin since it was a lot cheaper than flying out of Lyon, but I now realize it is also very hard to get to the airport from Lyon. Does anyone here know of an affordable bus/train/shuttle from Lyon city center (I live right next to the Part-Dieu train station) to Grenoble airport?

Thanks!

My boyfriend and I are getting married in a few months and we are starting to think about our honeymoon. We have a 9 month old son and that means we should see the destiny or kind of travel that fits him.
We looove cheese and would love to go to France to do part of the Cheese Route. What do you think? Is it crazy to go with out baby and should think about somewhere else?
Or is it appropriate? If so, any suggestions on stops or any other details? Thanks in advance!

Canal Du midi

Hi All
I'm looking for advice and recommendatios for side trips from the Canal du midi between Castelnaudary and Homps in July. My girlfriend and i will be taking a relaxing week cruising down the canal but also want to do some side trips such as bicycle rides or vineyard trips. We plan to moor in Bram, Carcassonne , Trebes, Marseillette and La Redorte along the way, so if you have any experience of doing this i would appreciate it.

Thanks John
