Bus
Details on Dijon’s bus network, operated by Divia, are available from L’Espace Bus (08 00 10 20 04; www.divia.fr in French; place Grangier; 7.30am-6.45pm Mon-Fri, 8.30am-6.30pm Sat). Single tickets, sold by drivers, cost €0.90 and are valid for an hour; a Forfait Journée ticket is good all day and costs €3, available from the tourist office or L’Espace Bus.
Dijon has two kinds of bus line: ‘Liane’ lines, which are numbered 1 through 7 and run every 10 minutes or less from about 5.30am to 12.30am (on Sunday from 9am to midnight); and somewhat less frequent ‘Ligne’ lines, which are numbered from 10 to 51 and run from about 5.40am to 8.30pm (from 1pm on Sunday). Bus lines are known by their number and end-of-the-line station.
The free Diviaciti minibus shuttle does a city centre circuit from 7am to 8pm Monday to Saturday. Liane 1, 3, 5 and 6 run along rue de la Liberté.
Car & motorcycle
All city centre parking is metered. Free spots are available (clockwise from the train station): northwest of rue Devosge, northeast of blvd Thiers, southeast of blvd Carnot, south of rue du Transvaal and on the other side of the train tracks from the city centre. There’s a big free car park at place Suquet, just south of the police station.
The tourist office is easy to find – signs to the ‘Office de Tourisme’ are everywhere.
