The bus station (05 63 54 58 61), little more than a parking area, is on the southwest corner of place Jean Jaurès. Ask at the tourist office for timetable information since there’s nothing but a sign here. Services include Castres (€5.40, 50 minutes, up to 10 daily). For other destinations, the train’s your better option.

Bus No 1 links the train station (place Stalingrad) with the bus station and place du Vigan. There are trains to/from Rodez (€11.80, 1½ hours, seven daily), Millau (€19, 2¾ hours, two daily) and Toulouse (€10.90, 1¼ hours, 10+ daily). For Montauban (€10.70), change in Toulouse.
