Car hire

There are several car hire companies at the airport and in town. These include Avis (231 4944; www.avis.com; Kyttälänkatu) and Netrent (www.netrent.fi; Tampere Airport Terminal 2).

Bus

The local bus service is extensive and a one-hour ticket costs €1.40. A 24-hour Traveller's Ticket is €6. You can pick up a free bus-route map at the city tourist office.
