This promontory amusement park complex offers dozens of rides, an observation tower, art gallery, aquarium, farm zoo and planetarium. There is also a dolphinarium, which may concern some visitors, as animal welfare groups claim keeping dolphins in enclosed tanks is harmful for these complex animals. It's possible to buy all-inclusive entry or to pay per attraction (€10/5 per adult/child). Opening times are complex; check the website. Indoor attractions stay open year-round. Take bus 20 from the train station or central square.
Rides include the Tornado roller coaster, super-fast High Voltage, speedboat rides on the lake and an Angry Birds area for younger kids. The aquarium is mediocre, with Finnish fish more interesting than the hobby-tank favourites. The planetarium is in the same complex, above which soars 168m Näsinneula Observation Tower , the tallest in these northern lands. It's overpriced but gives spectacular city and lake views. There’s a revolving restaurant.
Sara Hildénin taidemuseo has a collection of international and Finnish modern art and sculpture; the space is normally devoted to excellent exhibitions showcasing particular artists.
