So.... is there a winter biking scene in Finland, in the way that there is in, say, Alaska? And following on from that question, am I insane to think about riding to Inari in the winter! I want to see the Northern Lights and travelling by bicycle is what I do.
I would prefer not to get howled down as a total lunatic by those who have no experience of bicycle travel and value comfort above all else. I am aware that it is a difficult and potentially extremely challenging undertaking but that…
I know there buses that run from the airport. Is there a metro or train service as well? I use a manual wheelchair, so I'm wondering which is the best option for me
Am heading up to Äkäslompolo second week of December for 4 days. I don't have arctic gear and would rather not buy it as I don't got to extremely cold places very often. Is it possible to hire gear up there?
We are 3 people planning to drive car way to one of the northernmost place -- Nordkapp from Tampere, Finland. Because we'd like to finish only within half day of Friday and a complete weekend. If you're interested in this crazy trip and you can drive…

Here's my personal experience of visiting the Santa Claus Village and my 2 failed attempts to see Aurora in Lapland:
I hope my blog post can help you find some useful tips when planning to go to Lapland. Cheers!

Hi. I'm about to start a cycle trip from kirkenes in Norway South through Finland. I would love to do a hike and looking for recommendations. I'm experienced and wish to walk 3-5 days to see a good variety ESP hills with views. I need somewhere near the trailhead to leave my bike and gear. I have a tent stove compass etc. Any recommendations please? Thanks
