  4. Snow Castle

Kemi's Snow Castle, located by the water near the tourist office, is a big winter drawcard. In 1996 the 'World's Largest Snow Castle' - 13,500 sq metres - was built here. It was such a success that the castle is now constructed every year and features a beautiful chapel and an ice restaurant, with bar, ice tables covered with reindeer fur, and ice sculptures. The restaurant opens from 30 December. An admission fee is charged.
