Getting there & away

Ruka is 30km north of Kuusamo on main road 5. Most regular bus services to Kuusamo continue further north to Ruka. During ski season (early November to early May) a skibus shuttles between Kuusamo and Ruka, stopping at all of the big hotels. In summer there's an excursion bus.
