I'm gonna have some time off around Chritsmas and just thought I could take advantage of that to go spot some northen lights. I've had a quick look at accomodation but coud only find fancy places for couples and the like, which is not what I'm looking for.
Does any of you know where and how I could find a basic wooden hut, somewhat isolated, so I could sit by the fire, cook and read for a week ?
Hi, We are travelling to Roveneimi for a white Christmas. Despite numerous attempts on the internet to price/identify options available to us, I am getting nowhere. We have flights priced but it had been suggested to us that we could do a 'mini cruise' type thing from (say) Rostock to Helsinki and then travel to Roveneimi. We would love to do this stopping at Stockholm on the way up and perhaps St Petersbourg and/or Latvia/Lithuania/Estonia on the way back to Rostock or Copenhagen. I can not…
I plan to go to finland after Christmas, for around one week and stay on some remote hut, maybe with Sauna, ice Swimming facilities, and/or Husky, horse, ski trip possibilities.
Does anybody habe some recommendations where to go, a place which isn't too expensive.
Am going to Helsinki the week after next and would be very grateful for any recommendations of any good value vegetarian or vegan restaurants with buffets for either lunch or dinner. Have searched on the internet and it looks like veganissimo has closed down. Thank you in advance, Sarah
Hello everyone! I am in need of a bit of advice if possible.. I am looking to travel to Helsinki and I just wondered where the best places to stay are? And basically what it's like for a person travelling possibly alone. Thank you in advance :)
I am Canadian, travelling to Finland to au pair for 3 months.
I depart Canada on October 15th, and arrive in the "Schengen Area" on October 16th. I depart on January 16th. Which is exactly 3 months, BUT actually calculates out to 93 days.
Does this mean I am overstaying? I am worried about getting deported and not being able to return to EU for some time. So, I am considering adjusting my flights by a few days to be safe. Or is there anything I can do to ensure that this will be no problem?
I wondered if anyone could recommend some peaceful spots in Finland with good hiking/beautiful scenery which are accessible by public transport? I'll be going in summer.
Many thanks in advance
I'm planning to go to Gdansk at the beginning of august and from there heading to Turku, Finland for 6 days more.
Any suggestions for a itinerary in that area?
for example an island of the archipelago?
thanks in advance...
I fly into Helsinki. My destination is Tampere. Which is best? bus or train? If bus is better, which one do I try to find? If train is better, which train station do I need to go to?
