Getting there & away
Road 2 and bus 4 from Mariehamn to Vårdö will take you to Sund. The bus goes via Kastelholm (€3.60, 20 minutes), Svens-böle, Bomarsund and Prästö (€4.90, 30 to 45 minutes).
The bicycle ferry Nadja (040-553 3256; Jun-mid-Aug) operates between Prästö and Lumpo, Lumparland. There is one departure a day from Monday to Saturday from June to mid-August. It leaves Lumpo at midday, and returns from Prästö at 12.30pm (one way €7).
