Bus 3 runs from Mariehamn to Kvarnbo (€3.60, 35 minutes) and other villages in Saltvik.

The bicycle ferry Kajo (0400-783 086) runs between Tengsödavik (Saltvik) and Västra Simskäla (Vårdö) late June to early August. There is one daily departure each way, leaving Västra Simskäla at noon and Tengsödavik at 12.30pm. One way it's €9.
