My girlfriend and I are having 11 days in Fiji before and including Easter.
We have done lots of research and are still not sure where exactly to spend the time. we both want to do some relaxing on the beach and diving, but we also like some nature and hiking and home stay type stuff.
We've decided maybe mamanucas (beachcomber) isn't really for us, but we are still considering the Yasawas islands. This is where our questions start, we know we would have to get a ferry pass to…
Hi there. I am going from Hawaii to New Zealand for a few weeks in April and will be returning via Nadi, Fiji and then traveling in Fiji for a few weeks. I really do not want to be taking my suitcase full of cool weather clothes around with me while traveling in Fiji so would like to just leave it at Nadi airport to pick up a few weeks later. Do they still have a left luggage place at Nadi airport? How much does it cost? And was it dependable? Thanks
In the opening scene of the 1960's T.V. show, "Adventures in Paradise", a waterfall is featured. I think this scene was filmed in Fiji. Can anyone verify that or rule out Fiji as the site of this waterfall? If in Fiji, can anyone give a specific name and location for it?
Thanks in advance.
We are 3 or 4 couples, thus 6 or 8 people, who will be heading to Fiji in September 2015. Our dream is to get onboard a catamaran sailboat and head out for the islands for 7-10 days doing snorkeling, scuba diving etc etc...
Have anyone in here done something similar? Sailed through the Fiji islands?
Any recommendations would be highly appreciated, how much we should expect to be paying and islands to visit.
We are a couple looking for excellent snorkelling (we are seasoned snorkelers) in Fiji with also kids activities, or kids club for a 5 year old. This will be our third time to Fiji, having been to Blue Lagoon Resort, Botaira and Paradise Resort before. A nanny would be fine also, but we need to go to a place where there are other kids around, as we'll be travelling during term time. Most important thing we are looking for is good snorkelling, though, as we have an only child, kids clubs or…
I am travelling to Fiji for two weeks at the end of March from New Zealand and before I go over to Aus. I've currently paid for accommodation and two meals a day included on a 14 day island hop boat trip but I was just wondering how much spending money would be best to take for two weeks? I'm trying to work out budget plans for what I will need where, any advice welcome! We are hoping to do a couple excursions to make the most out of the islands! At the moment it is 1 British Pound to 3.05…
I'm trying to plan an excursion to the Lau group for myself and a friend, and need a LOT of advice. Answering any of the following questions is much appreciated.
First, I'm finding very mixed results about when a visa is necessary. Looks like touring without visa is okay for US citizens for up to four months? Yet I've also read that without visa, you're restricted to two weeks. Any clarification possible?
Second, I know travel to Lau is limited to expensive and rare flights and…
Been a while since I was on thorntree... wherever did the faq go?
In a couple of weeks me and a friend are going to Fiji, at one point we will be catching the ferry out to Waya island in the Yasawa's. When I was there a few years back, they tried hard to push the 'Bula pass' on you, but if you did not plan to island hop it was better to just get a one way, or a return to the island you were going to.
Can anyone tell me if it is still the same? I think the return ticket was only valid…
Hey, heading to Fiji and also Vanuatu next April, haven't done my PADI yet so was wondering if anyone had done a PADI in Fiji? Which company did you go with/ were they good? Heard there are some amazing dive spots about so don't want to miss them just because I'm not qualified. Yet. Also any dive spot recommendations in Fiji and or Vanuatu would be awesome. Thanks :)
