The low-rise Suva link of this international chain hugs a picturesque swathe of the harbour shore, offering some of the city's finest, uninterrupted water views. Popular with coach and package tours, guests can expect predictable style, quality and facilities.

Palm trees shade the front entrance from Suva's main drag and stepping into the air-conditioned foyer with its easy listening soundtrack provides blissful respite from the heat. Beyond the glossy entrance, restaurant (serving standard western fare) and couches, a smorgasbord of baked guests cool off in the fabulous pool or simmer on the trendy deck. Rooms are generically spacious, cool and comfortable and will please picky travellers. Business travellers also flock here, lured by the bevy of facilities and modern technology. It's all very comfortable and civilised without pushing any style boundaries and the staff can be a tad apathetic.
