Lonely Planet review
This home-cum-hostel caterers to backpackers and volunteers. It operates a lot like a homestay (and you'll get to know the owner's cats and dogs), but with simple dorm accommodation through the main house. There's a cute if rustic 'treehouse' extension annexe at the rear, with its own kitchen facilities. Basic but friendly.
Our independent authors have visited Colonial Lodge and selected this as one of our recommended guesthouses in Suva.
