The tag 'Motor Inn' usually summons visions of grey-brick, boxy rooms and musty bouquets. Fortunately no one has informed the Suva Motor Inn of the mandatory facade and this all-in-one hotel complex is more than a little humble with its moniker.

Rebellious features begin with the bright and chipper paint job and extend to a central courtyard with lashings of tropical foliage, elongated pool and the only water slide in Suva! For those sporting little tackers this should set off happy alarm bells of the 'kid-magnet' pitch. But the hotel really shames its lesser namesakes with an abundance of smart and fresh studio and two-bedroom apartments. Decked out with sunny wicker furnishings, modern kitchens (including microwaves) and enough room to accommodate a wee troupe, they're fabulous for families but stylish enough to please couples and business travellers as well. All rooms have balconies (ask for one with Albert Park views). If you don't want to make use of your spotless kitchen head to the restaurant for a feed.
