At the heart of Makati dining and shopping district, Havana pumps up the music and entertainment lifeblood of the city. Take a stroll at the surrounding park, ponds, fountains and shops and you will be inevitably drawn to its pulsating beat and lively atmosphere. While most bars keep the volume and the vibe inside, Café Havana’s music and merrymaking spill out into the alfresco dining outside. Proof to its growing popularity, what used to be a just couple of tables right outside the bar have now extended till the edge of the platform. 

Under starry night skies, in candle-lighted tables, customers puff Cuban cigars and hookah. The loud laughter and music drown out the stillness of the night and the wee hours of the morning. 

On Friday and Saturday evenings, expect bumper to bumper traffic inside the bar as customers, dancers, dance instructors and waiters, fill up every square inch of it. Expect heavier flow on live band nights with the installation of space consuming musical instruments. A sultry local female performer belts out popular tunes and sways to the rhythm of Latin music.

Havana, the city, was known for sin, sex, sugar and rum, where North Americans come down to for a fun-filled sexy weekend. And Café Havana is no different. Living up to its name, its customers are mostly expatriates looking for a good time, in yet another tropical island.
