Itinerary
Days 1-2 Oslo
Oslo, Norway's bustling capital, has much to offer - fascinating museums, outdoor activities, an eclectic array of buildings, a quirky nightlife and all easily explored by foot.
Days 3-4 Lillehammer
Famous for hosting the 1994 Winter Olympics, Lillehammer is an ideal spot for outdoor activities and has a fascinating outdoor museum and charming town centre.
Days 5-6 Norwegian Fjords
The fjords of Norway are long watery inlets filled with glaciers, mountains, sheer cliffs, valleys, waterfalls and scenery out of a dream.
Days 7-8 Bergen
This beautiful city is surrounded by water on three sides and flanked by hills on the fourth. Bergen is Norway's 'gateway to the fjords' and full of cultural and scenic gems.
Days 9-11 Stockholm
Stockholm, Sweden's capital, is sometimes referred to as 'the Venice of the north' and has a great deal to offer with its architecture, parks and clear waters.
Days 12-13 Aland Islands/Overnight Ferry
An archipelago in the Baltic Sea, the Aland Islands consist of 6,500 skerries and islands, has a very flat terrain and is part of Finland but speaks Swedish.
Days 14-15 Helsinki
A city with a strong sea-faring history and its heart located at its harbour, Helsinki is dynamic, fascinating and full of interesting architecture and cool places to visit.
Days 16-17 Tallinn
With its steep red roofs, cobblestone streets, pastel-coloured buildings, mix of medieval and modern, and new restaurants and bars, Estonia's enthralling capital is a place of wonder.
Days 18-19 Riga
Riga rests on the Daugava River and the city's charm, eclectic architecture, historic Old Town and fabulous food and nightlife has an almost hypnotic effect on visitors.
Days 20-21 Curonian Spit
The Curonian Spit is an impressive 98 km long, thin stretch of land just south of Lithuania's Klaipeda and is filled with sand dunes, animals, wetlands, forests and meadows.
Days 22-23 Vilnius
With Europe's largest Baroque town, a quirky cultural side and intriguing discoveries around every corner, Vilnius stands out as one of Europe's more alluring destinations.
Days 24-25 Aukstaitija National Park
With 126 lakes, 116 villages, a host of animals and dense with verdant forests, Aukstaitija is Lithuania's oldest national park and perfect for canoeing and hiking.
Days 26-27 Warsaw
Rebuilt and restored after its extensive destruction during WWII, Warsaw's cityscape is a mixture of modern and old, and contains a thriving nightlife and extensive cultural calendar.
Days 28-29 Berlin
Berlin is a vivacious, fast-paced city with an art scene the envy of Europe and a chequered history both turbulent and grand.
