Itinerary
Day 1 Barcelona
Arrive in Barcelona and perhaps get body clocks synced to 'Spanish time' with a walk along Las Ramblas or grab some lunch and chill out in Parc de la Ciutadella.
Days 2-3 Pyrenees
Discover the greatest of the great outdoors in the Pyrenees. Take a cogwheel train into the Nuria Valley and stretch legs on a hike.
Day 4 Carcassonne
Travel into France arriving in Carcassonne, a place that is straight out of a fairytale with its ancient city walls and towering turrets. Watch a golden sunset over this medieval landscape.
Days 5-6 Provence
Venture across landscapes that inspired Van Gogh on the journey to Provence, one of the most picturesque cities in France. Explore centuries-old villages, visit the Arles Amphitheatre and delight in the region's acclaimed food and wine.
Days 7-8 Nice
Board a train and travel to Nice, the ideal base for explorations of the Cote d'Azur. Lie back on squeaky sand beaches, sample the pulsating nightlife or pay a visit to a cliff-top village known as 'The Eagles Nest'. If time permits, head to Cannes on a day trip and try to spot bronzed celebs.
Days 9-10 Cinque Terre
Pull the walking shoes on and set off along the legendary trail that links the five villages of la Cinque Terre. Absorb breathtaking views of the Italian coast, either walking the entire way or catching a train.
Days 11-13 Pisa/Florence/Siena
Travel to Pisa to marvel at its famous wonky tower and take the time to visit the Baptistry and Duomo. Continue on to Florence, the cultural heart of Tuscany and the place where some of history's greatest artists reveal their finest works. Then, visit Siena and uncover vibrant public squares, well-preserved churches and some of the friendliest locals around.
Days 14-15 Rome
While in Rome, enjoy free time to scour the many city sights and soak up the cosmopolitan vibe. Perhaps step back in time at the Colosseum and visit the Pantheon before the tour is over.
