  1. A

    South William

Its star doesn't shine quite as brightly as it did a few years ago when it opened, but this remains one of the hippest bars in town. Behind the glass frontage you'll get top-class music, great DJs and a downstairs club.

    Café Bopa

This quiet square in the heart of a residential part of the city throbs to DJ-spun beats at the weekend as Bopa pumps up the volume and transforms into one of the city’s best flirty venues.

    Zoo Bar

Zoo Bar is one of Copenhagen’s favourite preclubbing hang-outs, pumping out anything from electronica to bop. Head in between 9pm and 2am on Friday and Saturday nights for the best vibe.

    Magnet

Red leather booths, plenty of velvet and a suitably seedy New York–dive atmosphere where Iggy Pop or Tom Waits would feel right at home. The upstairs bar is very cool but totally chilled out, while downstairs the dance floor shakes to the best music in town, spun by up-and-comers and supported with guest slots by some of England's most established DJs.
