   Occupying the spot where the Atlantic meets the Mediterranean, Tarifa’s legendary winds have turned the city into one of Europe’s premier windsurfing and kiteboarding destinations. The most popular strip is along the coast between Tarifa and Punta Paloma, 10km to the northwest, but you’ll see kiteboarders on Tarifa’s town beach as well (it’s a rather good spectator sport). Club Mistral offers equipment hire and classes (from beginners to experts, young and old).
