After enjoying a fifth of it, our bulging insides forced us to move on. Small appetite? Try the crêpes with honey, we hear they're great.

    Eat inside the round, modernised tukul or dine alfresco on the leafy terrace. An Ethiopian chef with experience in America was training the staff to make more than the usual faranji fare when we were in town. Most meals were already hitting their mark.
