I am hoping to spend 10 days in Ethiopia in 3 weeks time. I want to take internal flights to save time but they look expensive. Can anyone tell me if they are still cheaper to buy once in Ethiopia? We plan to fly into the country with Ethiopian airlines. Does this still make internal flights cheaper? Many thanks!

Hello,
I'll be travelling to Malawi from the UK during June by Ethiopian Airlines and I have a layover at the ADD airport. Is it mandatory to get a yellow fever jab even though I won't be going out of the airport into the city?

Please help me out!

I'm confused- Lonely Planet and Bradt have conflicting information about peak travel seasons for Ethiopia. LP says 'High Season is January to March, Low Season is April to September, and Shoulder Season is October to December.' Bradt says "Mid-October to January... is the peak tourist season."

I'm planning four or five weeks in Ethiopia for any time later this year, preferably from around September through December. In addition to the cultural stuff we're interested in flora and fauna…

Ciao,
I am planning 2 weeks in Ethiopia mid august. So far I am planning to head north, (Lalibela, Tigray, Danikil, Erta Ale).
Do you know if temperatures and climate are on average ok in that period to make a 4x4 ride or the heat is just unbearable? (to me unberable is > 40 Celsius temperature and 80% humidity)

thank you!

I visited Ethiopia in February 2016, and wherever I researched, it seemed very difficult to do independent travelling around the Omo Valley. It is possible to do. I visited Omo valley for 13 days, and I spended 4 days in Jinka town, visiting a mursi village on a day tour ( approx. 50 US), and interacted with the visiting mursi tribes at Jinka market. With lot's of time at hand, and a fearless and deeply curious and respectful attitude, I had many close and real encounters with these fascinating…

Hello, I wanted to tell you about the great time I had traveling alone in Ethiopia. I was always feeling very safe and there was always someone nice to help me in case I needed. Ethiopians are wonderful people!!
In the south I had a very good guide. He is called LUNGO (http://www.localtourethiopia.com/) and he belongs to the Hamer tribe and has plenty of contacts in Omo Valley (to the different tribes). He organizes tailor - made tours also for solo travelers & small groups and I really had the…
