Lonely Planet review
For an affordable stay in classy surroundings inside the Old Town, this is one of Tallinn's best choices. Nestled as it is in a quiet corner of town, where few tourist groups pass, there's a cosiness and calm about this hotel which pricier options try but fail to replicate.
The smallish rooms here and their drab, ordinary furniture contrast somewhat with the impressive, airy and friendly limestone lobby decorated with art and sculptures, but they're not the main draws here: price and cosiness are. Still, try to avoid the tiniest rooms - the standard doubles in rooms 108, 208 and 308 are the best, brightest and most spacious, being on the corner. The 'Bella Vita' rooms are upgraded doubles, slightly larger than usual with balconies, nice views and coffee machines. You'll appreciate added touches here like free Internet in the lobby, and the cafes catering to kids - there are highchairs and lollipops for tots. There's also a small exhibition space inside the cafe, further accenting the hotel's evident dedication to art and design.
