This richly decorated place serves good coffees, decadent homemade cakes and light sandwiches. Its namesake is Peter Ernst Wilde, who opened a publishing house on the premises in the 18th century, though the pub also pays tribute to two literary Wildes: Oscar Wilde and Eduard Wilde. For heartier dining (and drinking) head to the upstairs pub.

    Cafe Wilde is definitely worth visiting

    merelind recommends this,

    Whenever I'm in Tartu I always stay in one of the serviced apartment owned by Cafe Wilde. They are adjacent to the Cafe, only meters away. They are modern and affordable - good value for money. The food and atmosphere is extremely good in the cafe and downstairs is a nice bookshop. A must see for anyone visiting Tartu.
