Getting there & away
A car is the handiest way of getting around this area. Ten buses go daily between Tartu and Kallaste (35Kr, 1¼ hours), with fewer runs on Saturdays and Sundays. Around 15 buses go from Tartu to Alatskivi (27Kr to 35Kr, one hour), again with limited service on weekends. About five daily buses go from Tartu to Kolkja (33Kr, 1½ hours), most via Alatskivi, others via Varnja.
