Does anyone have any recent experience or information on the border crossing between Gabon and EG at Cocobeach/Kogo? I've heard that at times only Equatoguineans or Gabonese are permitted to cross there.
I have a US passport so no visa will be required and a multiple entry visa to Gabon. I may be crossing from EG to Gabon or vice versa depending on travel plans so if one way is easier than the other, do let me know. I suspect it might be easier to leave EG at that border than enter the…
Could someone tell me whether there is a chance of getting a visa for Equatorial Guinea but NOT from their embassy in Berlin? I'm from Poland and would like to travel there this summer but the price is a little high for me as I'm planning to visit neighbouring countries as well. Is there any chance to get the visa for EG from Cameroon or Gabon?
Any information about this topic and the current situation in Equatorial Guinea is important to me.

Here's a link to a PDF sample chapter of the new guide which comes out on 20 November 2015! It covers the north-eastern Kié-Ntem Province, including Ebebiyín, which was the site of some of the African Cup of Nations games recently.
Does anyone know of a decent source showing the road layouts of these four towns? I have GPS data on sites of interest, and am looking for a decent map to overlay this onto.
Google Earth satellite photos are either very out of date (Mongomo) or too low resolution to make out the streets. Other sources such as Openstreetmap.org are also lacking in detail.
Perhaps someone who went to the recent African Cup of Nations got maps of the host cities of Mongomo or Ebebiyin?
I am trying to book a flight for the route LBV - SSG. I am aware that Ceiba Intercontinental and Cronos fly this route but I can't seem to find any way of booking with these airlines on the internet and I can't find an agent here in the UK who can help. Does anybody know how I can book flights with either of theses airlines, I cannot speak French or Spanish so telephoning them in Gabon or Equatorial Guinea will prove difficult and expensive.
Just got back from spending a month in Equatorial Guinea doing research for the new Bradt Guide to Equatorial Guinea, which is coming out in November 2015. I visited:
Bioko - including Malabo, Riaba, Moka, Luba, Batete.
Mainland - including Bata, Rio Campo, Mbini, Acalayong, Cogo, Monte Alen, Niefang, Micomeseng, Ebebiyin, Nsong, Mongomo, Oyala (Djibloho), Nsork, Aconibe, Evinayong.
Thought I'd answer some of the frequently asked questions on the forum…
i got the tourist visa for 2 weks from the embassy in Berlin.I have some questions:
1. Is there a taxi or minibus at the Malabo airport to go into town? How much is the taxi price? Is abank at the airport to change money?
2. I want to fly out to Sao Tome. Does anybody know the excatly dates of flights?
3. Do i need a travel permit on Bioko and on the mainland? I wanted to go with minibusses/public transport from Malabo to Riaba or Luba

I am trying to organise a custom trip to Equatorial Guinea for November 2014 and am struggling to find a tour operator who can help me. I'm open to working with someone based in London, Madrid, the USA or Equatorial Guinea. So far all I can find is:
Besari Bohopo: bbohopo[at]bebotra.com, whose details I found on the website - http://bioko.org/ecotourism/.
The people at GuineaTur: http://www.guineatur.com/
Anyone know of any companies that can help out? Anyone been on any high end…
