   Lawrence of Arabia and Thomas Hardy have, apparently, had cuppas in the coffee shop attached to this 16th-century inn. The restaurant rustles up hearty dishes such as chilli and garlic sea bass, while simple bedrooms (single/double £40/70) are done out in creams, floral fabrics and pine.
