Sauna in London

I am looking for a sauna near Pccadilly Circus area. I a have a Japanese friend moving there, who is looking for something similar to Japanese bath houses. I was thinking maybe gyms in the area might have sauna facilities? I know it won't be the same as a sento, but would be a good option. Cheers for the advice.

8 hours long Heathrow layover in Dec 25th

Hello everyone

I'll be travelling back from Japan to Brazil in December 25th with a layover in Heathrow from 1pm to 9pm.
Considering that I manage to clean off customs in one hour and get back to the airport two hours before my flight, it would give me around 5 free hours, so I planned to see something in London. I don't really expect to find any place or atractions open, so I guess it would be a simple stroll around Westminster Palace area to see Big Ben, London Eye...
Do you think it sounds…

Christmas in Oxfordshire and London

Hello travellers,

My family and I will be spending some time in Oxford and London (Greenwich) for Christmas season. Outside of obvious tourist attractions I am wondering if anyone can advise us on activities, exhibits and other things we should do while we are in England. My parents are not as nimble as they once were, and we have two toddlers in tow, but we are still an energetic bunch.

Also any tips for activities with children are appreciated, or if there are any particularly…

Gatwick Airport - time required between flights

Hi

We're flying Rome-Gatwick on 6 May, arriving at 1450. Our planned onward flight Gatwick-Edinburgh is scheduled two hours later (1650). Both flights are with BA, but ticketed separately. Is that enough time for two Australians to clear customs, etc, with checked luggage from Rome?

London for 10 days

Hey everyone!

I booked a last minute trip to Europe and it will be my first time exploring. I'm going solo and I'm planning on keeping my stay in London pretty relaxed - no set plans because I don't want to stress if things go wrong. I'll be spending 10 days in London then I'll be joining a Contiki Tour around Europe for 10 days, then ending my trip in Paris for a few days.

I was wondering what you guys think are MUSTS for someone's first time going to London? I'm sure I won't be bored but…

Winter in the South

Hi,

I’ll be coming to the UK with my wife and 16 month old for three weeks from December 15th to January 7th. We’ll be staying with family close to Cambridge and in Bedford but we’re looking for some ideas of days out in the area and possibly in London or further afield that would be suitable for a 16 month old and for the weather in winter.

It’s been so long since I lived in the UK and most of my memories are based on outdoor activities which might not be the best in winter. Any thoughts,…

Motorbike license - HELP PLEASE

Hey all,

I'm 25, have my full car license with a spotless record and I've my P1 motorbike license in Australia but I'm moving back to the UK next year, please tell me I don't have to go through the rigmarole of going through my L's again???

I've googled this but I'm getting conflicted answers. So does my P1 translate to anything over there, or does my age/full car license help at all?

I really don't wanna be limited to a 125cc for two years! :'(
