    Ten miles from Newquay, Retallack Resort and Spa offers lakeside apartments with free parking and Wi-Fi and a range of on-site facilities. As well as a health club, the resort features a high-quality restaurant and the surf simulator, the FlowRider.

    Each 1-bedroom apartment features a king-size bed and a marble bathroom with separate shower and bath. A well-equipped kitchen has granite work surfaces, and the lounge has a flat-screen TV and DVD player.

    Apartments have a terrace and balcony with table and chairs, where you can enjoy lake views. A welcome pack, including milk, tea, coffee and Cornish biscuits, is also provided.

    The resort features two new restaurants, the Green Room and Driftwood Lounge, offering gourmet dining to light lunches. Sunday roasts and a children's menu are also available.

    A 15-minute drive from Padstow, Retallack Resort and Spa provides a sauna, steam room, pool and gym, as well as spa treatments and fitness classes. The FlowRider can simulate the thrill of surfing, skateboarding and snowboarding, and is safe for children over 5 and complete beginners.
