Lonely Planet review for Gascoyne Place

A stylish new restaurant on Sawclose, housed inside a renovated gentleman's club, and split into sections: two starchy-white dining rooms, plus a mezzanine, cosy snug and a candlelit bar with original medieval wall. The menu's classic British, the ambience authentic Bath.

    Gascoyne Place

    southwestfoodie recommends this,

We visited Bath for a long weekend and ended up spending both Saturday and Sunday in Gascoyne Place with some mates. Saturday dinner was amazing, especially scallops and the lamb. We ended up having a boozy Sunday lunch there as well and stayed on for the jazz in the evening. The wine list is massive but not expensive and the atmosphere is warm and friendly, and quite unusual without trying too hard. Clearly not a chain. Lovely old building too (the owner gave us a bit of a tour!).
