    Portsmouth Historic Dockyard

    Portsmouth's blockbuster attraction comprises three stunning historic ships and an impressive cluster of museums. They sit in the heart of one of Britain's most important modern-day naval ports in a site peppered with red-brick Georgian warehouses, vast wooden boatsheds, statues and painted ships' figureheads. The ticket price also includes a boat trip around the harbour. Together it all makes for a full day's outing; the last admission is 1½ hours before closing.
