Floor-to-ceiling glass, dark woods, moody lighting and exposed pipework set the scene at this slick Italian restaurant in Jericho. The food is rustic, though, with stone-baked pizzas, simple pastas and hearty meats pulling in the crowds every night of the week.

    This is an interesting, lively place to go. It has a relaxed atmosphere and the food is reasonably priced. However, you may end up sitting next to various celebrities from in and around Oxford. I have previously sat by people such as Jeremy Clarkson and Darren Gough. This might seem commonplace in London but we're talking about the provinces here! The only thing this restaurant does fall down on is the service. The staff taking bookings and organising seating are extremely friendly and efficient. However, the waiters can be a bit disinterested and disorganised which is disappointing. Dare I say it, I'm relieved when I have a non-English waiter. I know the service will be better! Please, Branca, don't employ any more Oxford students who couldn't care a damn about cutomer service! They're letting you down!
