    The not-so-bad food at the Noodle Bar

    From my experience, the most positive aspect of the Noodle Bar has always been its service - young, friendly and dynamic, the waiters and waitresses improve this generally average experience. In Oxford, this is especially true. The smiles, politeness and fast service probably made the food taste better.

    At the price of approximately £5 per meal, we should not expect miracles. Proportionally to its price, the food is filling but not comparable to a meal served in a more formal, more expensive restaurant. Luckily, the choice is incredibly varied, and we went for the rice - not noddle - option. Not overcooked, but not hard, the rice was somewhere between average and good, whereas the chicken tender enough to class as tasty. Though the whole composition may not have been perfectly balanced, the fortune cookie compensated for it.

    The £5 was spent well on a not-so-bad, satisfying, somewhat Asian meal. Perfect for younger people or those with no specific taste in food, the Noodle Bar is a budget, modern, and slightly better-tasting version of unhealthy fast-food restaurants.
